In my adult life, by taking the RISK to allow INTUITION to guide me to teachers and supporters, I have successfully and not always gracefully moved through major challenges in my life.
Wendy always knows the right questions to ask. Over and over she has helped me get clear about what is really important and what steps I can take to reach my goals. She has saved my life. -Joanne B., Connecticut
I know pain, fear, sadness and anger. I’ve been there repeatedly. I’ve hated my body, I’ve had cancer, I’ve lost loved ones. I’ve been overwhelmed with anxiety. I am clearly aging. By using the tools that I have to share with you, I successfully manage the feelings and issues in my life and maintain a deep feeling of happiness and gratitude. I can help to guide you to your place of greater acceptance, satisfaction and contentment with your life.
I have worked in public and private settings with a full range of populations. I have been a social worker, therapist, owned a wellness business and for the past 2 decades, a coaching business. I carry the following degrees and certifications: Masters degrees in Social Work and Public Administration, a certificate in Wellness Consultation, and a Level IV Master Life Coaching Certification from Fearless Living Institute. I am also a trained Hospice volunteer. I have studied with numerous spiritual and health professionals.
My priorities are shifting at this later middle age point in my life (as they have done many times before). I love to serve, and coaching, Hospice care, elder care and various other volunteer opportunities allow me to do that. Time with family and friends is dear to me. I have ongoing opportunities to act and sing locally with professional and non-professional companies. I love the outdoors and live in a beautiful place where activities are right at my doorstep. I stay as fit and strong as time allows. I love the adventure of travel.
I have benefited and grown more from this program and my relationship with Wendy than I ever did in 15 years of medication, therapy and hospitalizations.
Wendy always knows the right questions to ask. Over and over she has helped me get clear about what is really important and what steps I can take to reach my goals. She has saved my life.
I really feel that Wendy is present with me in our sessions. I love that she has been an ‘action’ person to me.
Everything happens at once. While I was going through a divorce, my mother died. I had been taking care of her and when she passed, I felt so empty. Wendy helped me to understand that everything I was going through was OK. She supported me, taught me what I needed to know and encouraged me to take my time to get through it.
I have never been so scared as when my doctor told me I had breast cancer. Wendy helped me get through the toughest times and make the right decisions for me. I really got how important ‘present moment’ is. Wendy encouraged me to let people in and I had the best support from friends, family and my community. I am so grateful.
Wendy’s telephone series on body image gave me the support and confidence I needed to look at my body in the mirror with love and compassion. Thank you, Wendy!
I was always hesitant to talk about the ‘crazy” thoughts rolling through my head about my body and food, until I met Wendy. Wendy gets it!
Wendy is helping me find myself, find my way, and become who I am meant to be.
Right from the first time I talked to Wendy, she told me that the anxiety in the pit of my stomach was fear. I really got that fear is just a feeling that I can manage. Once I could put that fear in its place, it felt like a huge weight was lifted. That horrible feeling didn’t have to consume me anymore. I don’t know how to thank you enough, Wendy.
Wendy Perkins combines humility, compassion and wisdom in her style of coaching. Actually, it’s much more than a style. It’s an authentic way of presenting herself, which makes me feel engaged where I am, loved as I am, and invited to grow into my possibilities.
