What is Life Coaching?
What is a Life Coach?
A collaborative partner who:
- is invested in your success
- listens without judgment and serves as a sounding board
- assists you in simplifying your goals, helps you plan practical steps,
and supports you in taking those steps
- shows you how to transform your negative language, thoughts and
beliefs into recognizing and embracing your gifts and power to take
action
- supports you in taking risks that are a natural part of growth and transformation
What does Wendy Believe?
I believe that happiness, passion and purpose are possible in everyone’s
life. I believe that we are capable of shifting the thoughts, beliefs and feelings that block us from our vision and dreams.
Life Coaching is about identifying those debilitating fears that keep you from getting clear. Who do you want to be? How do you want your life to look? What do you want to do? How do you want to show up? How can you create a life of happiness and fulfillment?
Life Coaching is a collaborative process. You are the driver. You discover your own solutions. I support you by navigating the process, asking the questions, believing in you until you can believe in yourself. I support you in letting go of guilt, shame, regret and worry. We practice living in the present moment, operating from intention and planning for the future. I am committed to creating a coaching space which promotes trust, kindness, respect, truth, willingness to risk change, and accountability.
Life Coaching is action-oriented. It is not therapy. Therapy tends to address the healing of old wounds and issues. Life coaching focuses on the client’s present and future life, emphasizing specific steps and actions to realize one¹s vision and dreams.
Together we get to peel away your layers of confusion, uncertainty and fear so that you can emerge as the soul you were meant to be. I know that change and growth can be scary and challenging. I have been doing my own work for many years and am committed to walking my walk and talking my talk.
Resources
Depending on your particular journey, I will recommend various books, movies, homework, and processes to support your growth. I use Rhonda Britten’s Fearless Living Books for many of my clients.
